Fashion blog for women 163cm and under

Note From Lucy

You might be curious about who I am and why I started this blog. Let me share my story with you.

I’m an ordinary petite woman, just 5’1” (155 cm). Like many of you, I’ve often struggled to find clothes that truly fit. Writing has always been my gift, and I’ve been blessed with a knack for fashion, so I decided to combine the two—creating a space just for us.

As a teenager, I made countless fashion missteps. I chased trends without considering whether they suited my height or body type. Unfortunately, this is a common pitfall. The fashion industry largely caters to average-sized women, leaving petite figures underserved.

Fashion magazines and TV shows rarely help. They echo the trends dictated by big brands, ignoring the fact that a significant percentage of women don’t fit the “regular” mold. Even the petite lines from major brands often miss the mark. Instead of designing with shorter women in mind, they simply scale down regular-sized designs. A dress that flatters someone 170 cm tall can look entirely different on someone who’s 150 cm.

I grew up in the early 90s, an era that idolized supermodel proportions and overlooked petite women. Shopping was always a frustrating experience. Clothes never seemed made for me—sleeves and pants were too long, straps slipped off, and waistlines didn’t sit right. Tailoring wasn’t always a solution; some garments simply couldn’t be altered.

At 18, I designed my first dress, and when I tried it on, everything changed. For the first time, I felt like myself. The dress fit perfectly, and I realized the problem wasn’t me—it was the industry. That moment sparked an idea: an exclusively petite fashion brand.

And so, Petite Glam was born—not just a brand, but a community for petite women. My mission is to make you feel seen and offer solutions to your style challenges.

Petite Glam focuses on dresses because they’re the epitome of femininity, elegance, and practicality. A well-made dress in high-quality fabric is timeless, flattering, and versatile. It’s a staple every woman deserves to feel confident wearing.

While dresses are at the heart of Petite Glam, this blog also offers advice on general styling for petite figures. My goal is to help you embrace your unique style and express your individuality without compromising on fit or comfort.

So, here’s my note to you: Celebrate your feminine energy and let it shine. Your style is your own, and no one should feel limited in expressing it. Clothes and confidence go hand in hand, and Petite Glam is here to help you discover what works best for your figure while honoring your personal taste.

Whenever you feel overlooked or need a little advice, turn to this blog. I’m here to help.

With love,
Lucy Bo
